FA bans Bentancur for 7 games for racist interview with Son Heung-min
On November 18, the Football Association (FA) banned Tottenham Hotspur’s Uruguayan midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur for seven matches and fined £100,000 (4.4 million baht). For using racist language towards South Korean captain Son Heung-min.
The FA charged the 27-year-old in September. As a result of the suspension, Bentancur will be unable to return to action until December 26, but will miss the Premier League clashes against Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea, as well as the Carabao Cup quarter-final against Manchester United.
